This morning I went with Hank to a local arboretum with his preschool. They enjoyed it! He has a cute class!

This is his friend Jackson. His mom and I went to high school together and haven't seen each other for 15 years and then realized our sons are in the same preschool class! Such is Salem :)

picnic days

We've had several nice days and Hank sat with me for a picnic one afternoon for lunch so we could give baby some peace and quiet for his nap inside!

spring break trip

We did our annual spring break tour to visit grandparents in North Carolina!

This year, my mom went with me to help out and that meant that Olivia got to join us too!

We went straight to Wilson to see Granny's new place.

We all went to dinner at Parker's. Pretty eventful with the children :)

We had a surprise visitor! Aunt Stella stopped by to see us and help feed Pete dinner.

We split up the girls and boys in 2 hotel rooms. Vivian and Kate read bedtime stories to Olivia in their room.

Hank and Pete went straight to bed, but I got this picture of them the next morning watching cartoons.

The kids went back to see granny one more time that morning while Pete took a nap at the hotel room with me.

Then we met Peggy for a late breakfast at Panera Bread in Wilson! We stayed for a pretty good while and then got on the road to come home.

We missed seeing Grandma Dot this time. I miss her in general. Thankful for the many years I did get to visit with her as a child and then as an adult, though.

great wolf lodge

On the last Friday of spring break this year, we surprised the kids with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge in Charlotte, North Carolina. We went with our favorite Morgan family and Uncle Joey, Aunt Tasha, Olivia and Papa and Gramme. That morning, we FaceTimed with Seth, Joel, and Annabeth. Seth shared the good news with our three and then we got on the road.

I didn't get a lot of pictures while we were there because I was in the water with the kids! We didn't take Pete with us so that I could play with everyone! But here are the few that Mom and I captured:
