On Saturday we took the kids to the indoor pool at Green Ridge Recreation Center. I was overjoyed to see Hank get in the pool for the first time, can you tell with all of these pictures?! :)

They had a blast going down the slides and jumping from the side of the pool. Vivian chose to go without her swimmies, so it looks like we'll be teaching her to swim for real this summer.
His hair looks red in these pictures, but it's not. You just have to see him in person. I guess he has the same color as his sisters...it appears red in certain lights and in some pictures. So strange yet perfect to me!
I love how they get excited for him.
Today we drove to NC to celebrate my Granddad's birthday (and Aunt Nancy's birthday is next week!).
We had a nice lunch and the girls got to play a lot at their home. We really enjoyed the conversations, baby laughter, and the prepared lunch (thanks to Grandma Carolyn for serving us...I didn't get any pictures of her because she was busy doing just that!).
We all love to watch the older two play with the baby. Hank grins anytime I mention Vivian or Kate's name, especially when he's waking up from a nap and I tell him we're going to go see them. He adores them, and here are some belly laughs to prove it. (although at the end of the video it sort of seems as if he's looking at me to see if I'll save him from her?!)

I love a little store close to our house called Main Street Primitives.
I used this wreath last year for Spring, and planned to get it out again this year.
Several weeks ago, I was not interested in looking at the pine cones and winter garland anymore, and I didn't have anything to go between that and Spring, so I just got this out early.
But today, finally, it's a good time for it, even if it's still chilly and windy.

I broke out this awesome little invention yesterday for Hank to try and he is loving every second of it. I hardly remembered to use it for the girls when they were babies so they didn't have too much action with it, but the way Hank has enjoyed it, I think I'll use it a lot until he gets better at picking up food and chewing. He chews and sucks on it and gets everything he can out of the mesh. He's had blueberries, bananas, and avocado in it so far. Tomorrow I'll cook a sweet potato to try in it maybe!
Glad to have found a way for him to enjoy mealtimes more!
This past weekend we enjoyed a ski vacation with my side of the family. We have been anticipating this trip for months and it did not disappoint! Before we left it felt strange to be going skiing because of the time change and the warmer weather in Salem. But it was definitely still winter on the mountain, and it even snowed while we were there...beautiful! The skiing on Friday was perfect...not windy or too cold, the snow was great. The cabin we stayed in (it's our 2nd year in this particular one) was a perfect fit for all of us. We loved having Tasha with us.
The love birds...wedding is a a little more than a month away!
We played the Wii Just Dance game a lot together...thanks for the idea, Kristin :) I love it.
While there, we gave V and K a gift so that they could have something new to entertain them...it was the Doc Mcstuffins doctor bag...perfect for them. They played "doctor and nurse" the rest of the time. Everyone was so gracious to let them give check-ups. Dad went first.
There aren't many pictures of Hank because he was pretty cranky with an ear infection and bronchiolitis the whole weekend: not interested in having his picture taken :)
Everyone teamed up and took turns preparing meals this year. It worked out well so that mom wouldn't have to be in the kitchen all weekend.
Here's our little snow bunny! She loved skiing, and so did Kate! They both went out for a couple of hours on Friday to try it, and then on Sunday my Dad took Vivian by herself and Kate chose to stay in. But we were pleased with their interest in it. They both let go of hands a few times to try on their own. We are excited for how they will progress in the coming years and hopefully be able to ski with us each year!
I know everyone took more pictures and videos on their phones. I will try to get them together and post them soon.
I am a week and a half late with this post, but I did take these pictures around the time that the little man hit 7 months old.
Thanks to a sweet friend, Dawn, for the NC Sate onesie! It's our favorite.
Big news for this month is lots of rolling around. He is enjoying his crib a lot these days because he can roll all over it.
His hair is still light, and his eyes are still blue!
His bottom teeth have come in well, and I think the top two are not far behind.
Check out those rolls. I purposefully left his pants off so we could show off those fat legs :) He's the first of our babies to have the baby rolls and I love it.
He's about 19 lbs. now.
He has been sick with ear infections...he's being treated now for his 4th one. I think a visit to the ENT is in our near future. :(
Hank is not eating at night anymore, but is waking a little too early in the morning (6:15 or so), so we're still working on it!
He gives big grins to everyone, especially his sisters. His laugh is precious.
The high chair is not his favorite place to be. I haven't quite figured out why, but I do think that when he starts with more finger food, he'll be happier to sit and eat.
We love love love you, baby Hank!
Vivian is registered for Kindergarten and starts in August!
It is a privilege to watch her grow and learn new things (well, we feel that way about all of them!).
I took her picture the other day while writing a birthday note to Aunt Brooke.
She likes to use a different color marker for each letter, so it takes a while for her to finish, but she's getting better and better at writing her letters.
Grandma came for a visit! She didn't know what she was getting herself into :)
