We ate a spectacular breakfast at the Causeway Cafe in Wrightsville, NC (the beach!) before leaving for home on Sunday after the wedding.

We loved the people we were with.

This little one had missed quite a bit of good sleep for the trip and it started to show big time during this breakfast. We had to try anything and everything to keep him occupied and reasonably quiet while we were waiting for the food. :)

We had a great trip home...5.5 hours was long but the kids did awesome. It was a whirlwind trip but we wouldn't have missed the chance to see family and celebrate a marriage!

Two weekends ago we traveled to the southern NC coast to attend a beautiful outdoor fall wedding for one of Aaron's cousins. Victoria has been a fun cousin to get to know over the years...very energetic, lovely, and caring!

She was a gorgeous bride and the wedding evening was so memorable for us.

I got this picture from the back because not long after the ceremony started, I realized that I would need to take Hank away from being a distraction...

The bridal party table...amazing! Ben and Victoria did all the decorations themselves and I couldn't help but take a few pictures...

Caught her snacking before the bride and groom arrived at the tent reception!

Hank was so hungry and let everyone know it...he was so loud and cranky, but when the music finally started he turned into a different child and was ready to party!

I love this picture of these cousins reuniting...capturing their conversation. Emma was a beautiful flower girl. The first thing Vivian said was, "I like your skirt!"

Oooo...this face.

Thanks to Aunt Brooke for picking out this dress for me over the summer :)

Yes, this really is my baby.

The girls had to play Ring Around the Rosie together in the midst of all those people :)

Sweet girls! I'm glad they'll get to see each other again this week for Thanksgiving!

On Saturday morning we ate breakfast with family to send Grandma off...she has been in Salem recovering from a stroke since the beginning of August and now she is finally home!

We really enjoyed seeing her several times a week but we know she is going to be so thankful to be home in Raleigh.

Here are a few more random pictures that I am looking through on my phone and thought I'd share here.

We recently went to The Homeplace on a Sunday afternoon while Stephen was in town visiting.

Cute shopping buddy at Lowe's (we just purchased kitchen cabinets and will start on a remodel the first of the year!).

At the end of August we attended a beautiful, Christ-exalting, joyous wedding for friends Allison and Ian. Can't wait to see how God works through their marriage.

We sent this picture to Gramme one night :) Boy likes his pot roast and green beans!

Terrible picture, sorry! But I was trying to capture Vivian's funny reaction to the eye drops they put in her eyes to dilate them...I took her to the eye doctor last week as a requirement from the school because she didn't pass the vision screening they gave her. The doctor said she's okay for now but we'll check it again in a year.

Someone hijacked my phone and took a picture of Flynn Rider. What a surprise as I was scrolling through my phone pictures :) Kinda creepy, too, though!

I can never resist taking pictures of Kate sleeping because it is the only time she is still! This child has so much energy...she has to be moving at all times it seems. She goes full speed all day and falls asleep so quickly at night at around 6:30 and definitely before 7.

It has been rare for her to take a nap so I will try to capture these sweet sleepy moments when they come!

At The Oaks at Richfield with Grandma...

...these cuties were born in the same month just a year apart...can't wait for them to be great friends.

Hank already adores her, getting in her face and giving her kisses. He gets a big grin on his face and says, "Baybeeee??" "Baybeee?"

The kids and I have started to have Olivia over at our house each day because Aunt Tasha is back to work. We are enjoying the extra cuddle time with her and watching her grow!
