This picture was taken last weekend on July 20th.
Vivian just turned 5.
Kate will be 4 in a couple of weeks.
The baby will be 1 on August 8th.
I ask them constantly to slow down on their growing, but they won't listen!
It's hard to know what to do with Hank at this crawling-only age when we are playing outside.
This car is a good solution, don't you think?!
The grandparents might be a little nervous if they saw the big sisters pushing him around in this thing...
When Mike and Peggy were here a few Saturdays ago to visit, we all wanted to take the girls to see Monsters University, so we asked Uncle Joey and Aunt Natasha to keep Hank for a few hours. When we were leaving the movies, Aaron was checking Instagram and saw this:
H's first tattoo (washable marker) and his most exciting babysitting day yet!
Their soon-to-be-arriving baby Olivia has an adventure in store :)
Two Sundays ago Vivian and I had a special afternoon, just the two of us!, at Macy's birthday party. Macy and Vivian were born the same summer and the party was a good reminder to me of how thankful I am that she has great friends to grow up with at church.
It was a My Little Pony party at a horse farm.
First, they were all able to feed the horses peppermints.
They were pretty giggly about it because they were a little nervous and surprised about how it felt when the horse ate from their hands.
Macy's aunt was there to face paint. They all chose a "cutie mark" from one of the My Little Pony characters.
Another birthday activity was a scavenger hunt at the stable...a great idea for the kids to learn more about horses and taking care of them. A group of 10 kids running around, following each other to find the things on the list...perfect for this age group.
She was really excited about her turn riding the horse (and had to be told many times to be patient and back up to wait her turn!).
Her friend Julia from preschool (and now Kindergarten) was there and they gave me this funny pose.

For Vivian's party, she and I put together some little jars of fairy dust to give as favors. We have a fun time doing it one night after Kate went to bed, getting glitter everywhere of course!
We took it outside the Sunday after the party after church to sprinkle it around.
They were very serious about their fairy work.
They sprinkled some on Aaron's lawn mower to make it work better. :)
I need some fairy dust to sprinkle on them to make them stop growing so fast!
While my friend's son Mason was over at our house to play yesterday, we got an invitation from our neighbors the Duncans to come help pick up potatoes in their garden.
Filthy shoes and fingernails. They got the job done, eagerly!
Our sweet little girl turned 5 on June 18th. She celebrated with our family on her actual birthday, and her party with her friends was the following day. We all met at a local children's clothing boutique for all the fairy magic!
