blizzard of 2016

We have been inside for two days watching the beautiful snow fall! The kids ventured out a few times but we don't have the right boots or gloves so they aren't staying out for long. Aaron took them to the back of our property when he got home early from work on Friday to burn a pile of brush he's been waiting to get rid of.

Hopefully I will get some more pictures of them playing in the snow tomorrow and Monday!

pete's 4 month check up

Today I took all the kids to Pete's check up with Dr. Beazley (the girls were out of school) and Kate used my camera to document the appointment :)

We took a new picture of the kids for him to add to his photo board of patients.

Our little man is 4 months old! He weighs 13 lbs, 6 oz. and is 25.5 inches long.

He is as healthy as can be! Thank you, Lord!

Waiting for the doctor!

Sweet baby. He just looks like all of them to me. It's so unreal.

We always play a game when we go of who can guess the color of Dr. B's sweater. Whoever guesses blue is usually right. No one was right this time.

Of course V found the books right away and was stuck in one pretty much the whole time.

This man is retiring this spring and so I thought it would be the last time all the kids would see him at the same time. That's why I brought the camera. I wanted one picture of them with him.

I've known Dr. B my whole life. He was my pediatrician from the beginning and I was so thankful to have him as our kids' pediatrician, too. He is really the best. He is very honest and shoots straight, no extra info to make a new mom confused. Sometimes when I asked a question I knew he could see right through it to know the reason behind it and would just address all of it together. (does that make sense?)

The girls made thank you cards for him..."thank you for keeping us healthy," "happy retirement," etc. It was sweet.

We will definitely miss him!

I made Hank keep both of his hands on the wall during the time for Pete's shots so he wouldn't be in our way :)

Poor Pete! I can't believe she got a picture of this.

For the past few weeks, Vivian and Kate have been really interested in doing extra jobs to earn some money. It has been surprising to see their interest in doing the work and counting their money and accumulating! They are pretty cheap labor, they did a few jobs at mom and dad's house, and Vivian suggested that "two dollars should be a pretty good price"! Ha!
