On Friday night before Easter we had our small group over on our regularly scheduled night, but this time we planned to have a more casual social gathering and let the kids do an egg hunt. Aaron got all the kids together in the starting place...I love how ready they look.
After they found all the eggs, we made them sit on the couch for a picture and some more instructions. This picture is priceless with all our little ones together! But we were missing Mason, Tyson, Loren, and Daniel :(
Aaron was explaining to them that there was a golden egg hidden with $20 in it...most of the kids didn't understand at all what he was talking about, but the older ones were pretty interested! It was hidden in the top of Mason's diaper and Ansley was the one to find it! 
Kate and Lilah didn't care anything about the money...just give them some candy! This is so sweet. Kate LOVES Lilah.
We had fun at the park today! We are really enjoying the warm spring weather. Vivian played with her friends Julia, Macy, and Chandler...these girls have been in the same class at church starting from the baby room :) 
Kate was right there along with the big kids! Of course they napped well when we got home. Thanks everyone for meeting us there!
Good yesterday morning! When the girls woke up we had a squealing party in Vivian's bed about Jesus being alive and then we gave them these little buckets with a couple things in them...a mask and a bendy bunny toy. 
We pray that everyone had a memorable, worshipful Resurrection Day! I will post pictures (hopefully tonight) of how we spent the day celebrating with our church family. It was a great encouragement.
A few weeks ago the girls and I went to celebrate with Cyrus for his second birthday. They had a traveling petting zoo at their house!! It was a big hit with all the kids. There were ducks, bunnies, alpacas, goats, a miniature pony, and a donkey.
I didn't bring my camera inside and so I'm depending on Kristin for her pictures. She has been so gracious to share her Picasa album with me! There are lots of pictures of V and K, along with all of our other little friends. Enjoy Kristin's fun captions, too :)
Back on April 2nd, Aaron took the girls to Jax and Lilah's 2nd birthday party (I was in Richmond...I was so sad to miss the party, though!). Vivian talked about the party a lot leading up to it, excited about singing happy birthday to the twins. From what I heard, there was a lot more fun than just singing! Enjoy the many pictures! BOLLING WITH 5: Lilah & Jaxon's 2nd Birthday Video!
Today we hosted a cookout in our backyard for all of the guys that work at Interstate Batteries and their families. It was a perfect day for an outside party...the weather couldn't have been better. My dad cooked a pig and everyone brought a side dish or dessert...I didn't have to do much preparation in that respect, but there was definitely good motivation for us to get our backyard cleaned up this morning. A couple of Thursdays ago when we made the great exchange in Greensboro, we met everyone for dinner at Carrabba's. Uncle Charles, Aunt Angie, and Abby were also able to meet us there...it was a nice treat!
Brooke opened her birthday present (a goals journal)...we've had it for a while (her birthday was March 13!) but since we knew we were going to see her, we waited. We also celebrated Peggy's birthday which was April 12.
They were so well behaved that night...it made it harder to part ways with them for 3 days!
On Thursday Brooke had to go back home to NC after staying with us since Sunday. The original plan was to meet Mike and Peggy in Greensboro for a third time, but throughout the week we had plans cooking about my dad possibly flying us to the Rocky Mount/Wilson airport. When Thursday came, the weather was great and we were able to fly!
Brooke says goodbye to Roanoke. It was a beautiful day to fly...we could see pretty far out.
Reunited with her mama! Mike and Peggy met us at the airport and my dad took a few extra minutes to take them for a ride in the plane, too. They found their way to Dalmar Road so that they could fly over their house.
That morning before we left, we took the girls to the duck pond to do one last fun thing with Aunt Brooke. We definitely made the most of the time she was here...there wasn't a spare moment.
On Friday we invited Gramme over to our house for an Easter egg party! I got the $1 kit at Walmart with the color tablets and stickers for decorating.
Kate thinks about taking a sip of the blue water. I love that Vivian is checking her out...it's as if she thinks what Kate does is interesting, but would never do those risky things herself.
My mom and I had very high heart rates during the whole activity. Kate was throwing the eggs like they were balls. She got very close to dumping the water out of the cups about 34 times, but thankfully we intercepted each time at the last second.

A couple of Saturdays ago, mom ran in the 5k in Salem for the Susan G. Komen foundation. She had been preparing for it for several months. It turned out that Joey and Sierra ran it together also, so Joey ran some of the way with mom and they got some pictures on her cell phone when it was over. Very cool!
This morning at library storytime the kids did an egg hunt! We did our normal stories and songs for the first half and then went outside to find some eggs. Vivian caught on quickly and found lots of eggs. The pictures are out of order, sorry! The first ones are of the kids opening their eggs to see what's inside, and then the last ones are of them hunting for eggs :)
Aunt Brooke is here this week to hang out with us, so she helped Vivian open the candy.
After we left the library, we went to the mall to return something, so Vivian got to ride the train and it was a big thrill for her.
Last Thursday before naps we met our friends at Moyer park (great park, by the way!..it was our first time there and I was impressed). I am using Kristin's pictures from her blog because she was the thoughtful one to take pictures while the kids played.
Kate loved this slide. That's the only thing she did while we were there...down, and back up again!
She did take a time-out to eat some yogurt for lunch. I get so uptight about her trying to feed herself. It's almost always a sure mess.
Kate and her BFF Lilah on the big kid swings. Check out the sucker in Lilah's mouth...and of course right after this, Kate fell off the swing and so we left soon!
